All original 40’ Admirals launch boat. It was stationed on the USS Ronald Reagan a Nimitz class nuclear powered aircraft carrier. The Ronald Reagan is the command carrier for the U.S. Pacific 7th fleet currently operating in the south China sea. The naval markings on the back of this 40’ launch boat are COMCARSTRKGRU7 which stands for Command Carrier Strike Group 7th fleet. This launch boat was designed and built to NAVSEA specification by Modutech in Tacoma Washington. Naval Surface Warfare hull number 40PE8517. Designed to withstand the impact of a 60’ drop into the water from the carrier in an emergency scenario. Exclusively used by the 7th fleet admiral on the USS Ronald Reagan. Engine hours are 214 & 197 on each Detroit Diesel 671n engine. GRP hull with hydraulic steering. Still in its original complete configuration. Comes with its original boat cradle and steel hoisting cable. Weight on crane scale during removal 20,000 Lbs. with empty fuel tanks. This launch boat is a valuable piece of U.S. Naval history. Modutech and Willard made these boats for the U.S. Navy.
