Petroushka is a 72ft narrowboat and is moored in Summertown on the Agenda 21 section of the Oxford canal .
She has been on the Agenda 21 for 20 years and is in excellent condition. I took her out of the water for 3 months, two years ago to extend the cabin area and give her a repaint and she has recently just passed the Boat Safety Inspection and has a valid Boat Safety Certificate. The engine has also been fully replaced within the last 10 years. It is a new Barrus Shire and was recently serviced and is a really solid engine.
There are new solar panels and batteries that power lights, a water pump and most electronics (i.e. a laptop) comfortably. There's also a Morso squirrel stove that burns wood and coal and warms radiators throughout the boat. Cooking and hot water is through a gas combi boiler (turns on when you need heat). It also feeds the hot water tap in the sink.
The boat uses an Elsan system for the toilet. She's a great boat with solid construction and living on a boat is a wonderful lifestyle. The hull has been reblacked in the last fie years.
